            Hello,

Thanks for caring. I don’t know much - but I know all good efforts make a positive difference.

Below and on further pages if you follow the links you can find some details and older biographies of people who received PC’s in years past.

My name is Jerry Lombardo. I was early retired, disabled; but remained very active in our community and helping people in need. I achieved this through a not for profit I founded called Yes! We Deliver, Inc. It provided a variety of needed services, free, to those who needed them most: our youth and our senior & disabled friends & neighbors for over a decade - we provided free grocery deliveries to seniors as well as professional advocacy assistances - and so much more..

A couple of years ago - I started my own small business and much of Yes! We Deliver, Inc. faded in to the sunset. The works continue [I support different efforts for similar results] but for Yes! We Deliver, Inc. -   Computers For Kids+(Plus!) is the most prominent program left.today. I just can't give it up.

Computers For Kids+(Plus!) is a simple effort to help others less fortunate.

I build, program, give away, and set up computers. For free. It began for ‘kids’ from low-income households; later was added the +(Plus!) which included low income, senior, and disabled, people to the efforts.

There is no profit or commission; no fees to the recipient; and all costs are out of pocket (although I do insist on their willingness to acquire and maintain an Internet Connection).

For those who wish to help: I try to make it as easy as I possible can; I don’t seek cash donations or nice, new, computer systems [except under unique circumstances] - or even new parts - but parts in storage, in old towers, in corners; good, usable hardware collecting dust.

A BRAND NEW EFFORT IS BRINGING IN PRACTICALLY NEW, COMPLETE, SYSTEMS. EVEN SOME VERY NICE NOTEBOOK'S FOR SCHOOL. THESE ARE THANKS TO OUR CARING AND GENEROUS MEDICAL COMMUNITY HERE IN UTICA AND ROME [THANK YOU DOCTORS, NURSES, STAFF, VOLUNTEERS.]

Yes, from time to time, I also, specially, ask for (and receive) single circumstance discounts, freebies, etc., from those who can easily afford or provide such without hardship. [Thank you! Best Buy and others].

For example, in one situation we needed a broadband Internet Connection with no visible means to pay for it in a senior citizen building library. A local provider***Frost High Speed Internet quickly answered the call and was very happy to help; it would cost him nothing and meant so much to those who needed it.

Similarly, we needed to purchase 3 motherboards and CPU’s - one national, private, distributor had 3 discontinued boards good enough for PII’s but no more - he got them for a song - and passed them on for same…

I Put them all to excellent use!

These are very small and individualized efforts; I personalize them so that you - a prospective helper - can actually see the two, or three, people who will directly benefit from your generosity. People you can know were helped. Email them if you wish to connect.

How great is that?

Please, drop me a note. I will call or write you, personally. Once. It’s not a sales call; I’m not beggar, or a solicitor. No hounding. My supporters are many who wish not to say so; they are Blessed for their efforts.

Thank you very much for your time and attention.

* Some wish to remain anonymous; some are happy to have their service known. It can bring extra business and good will. Some [this one] chooses privacy. We are grateful just the same. Then there is Steven, a retired, disabled hobbyist from Carolina, who helps at every turn (Thank you Steven). And more like him I can’t name here.

** Thank you Bill from Bill’s Computer Services on in Utica.

*** In the case of that Internet Connection - it was the generosity of Frostline Internet Service -

a local, quality provider here in Utica and Central New York.

We believe giving is a privilege and

gratitude’ is an action; when we help others - we really are helping ourselves.

I invite you to join us. JL
